June 3: After nearly a month's wait, Thomas from Buckshot came and inspected the roof. We choose tile color and gave him a check for out deductible. We didn't want gutter work done, so Thomas told us we would get that money back once the job was done. Thomas assured us the work would be done within a month.
Long story short: AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
May 8: Massive hail storm in Denver
August: Another person from Buckshot comes to the house because Thomas got fired. This person inspects the roof. We have to re-chose tile color. A couple weeks later, materials are delivered. No work is done.
September: Permit paperwork is delivered. Despite more calls from us, no work is done or schedule. We engage the insurance company again. They talk about starting legal action to get our deposit back.
We had hail damage to our roof in Denver. Our insurance recommended Buckshot. It was a bad, bad move -- and not only for hiring a Wisconsin company to do work in Colorado.
The best way to show Buckshot's ineptitude is via timeline:
July 12: Buckshot cashes our check. We follow up about getting the work done. No response. Several calls over several days later. Nothing. We engaged our insurance company who got in touch with Buckshot. Still, no action.
Don't use this business unless you want a mold problem in your house. Their installers broke the bathroom exhaust pipe away from the roof unbeknownst to me until 2-1/2 years later when I had mold growing on all my windows. There is now mold in my attic because my bathroom vented into the attic instead of outside. They refuse to take any responsibility and said it's past their crappy 2 year guarantee so won't do anything to remediate it. These guys are shysters that won’t stand behind their irresponsible work.
October 1: Nearly 5 months later, the work gets done. But Buckshot has left various tools and materials in our front yard this whole week. A fellow from Buckshot called this morning, saying he'd pick it up when he gets payment. Gets payment? We cut them a check FOUR MONTHS AGO. They cashed is THREE MONTHS AGO. Also, remember that Thomas said we'd get a refund. So I'm afraid we're looking at dealing with this completely inept company for months more to straighten this out.
